1937 - Worlds Fair Nagoya, Japan -
Nagoya Pan-Pacific Peace Exposition

Auction is for a 1937 Worlds Fair Commemorative Medallion with bezel for the The Nagoya Pan-Pacific Peace Exposition held in Nagoya, Japan. The Nagoya Pan-Pacific Peace Exposition was intended to promote industry, transportation, education, science, construction, architecture, social welfare, tourism, fine arts and crafts and ran from 15 March to 31 May 1937.

Weeks later Japan invades China in the Second Sino-Japanese War (July 7, 1937 September 2, 1945), called so after the First Sino-Japanese War of 189495, was a military conflict fought primarily between the Republic of China and the Empire of Japan from 1937 to 1941 and ended only with the surrender of Japan in 1945.

This Commemorative Medallion was found along with and includes what looks like a lucky horseshoe however, I think it is a weight from a scale, both inside this old rosary pouch.
